WHAT TO TEACH (prey) OR WARN (hazards) YOUR APPRENTICE ABOUT FIRST

HAZARDS

wolves

Picture
NEVER GO NEAR A WOLF!!! THEY ALWAYS HUNT IN PACKS OF 3-30 INDIVIDUALS!!! YOU'LL NEVER TAKE THEM ALL!!!

badgers

Picture
IF YOU SMELL BADGER, WALK IN THE OTHER DIRECTION! THEY ARE VERY TERRITORIAL AND WILL SHRED ANYTHING THAT COMES INTO THEIR SIGHT THAT IS THE LEAST BIT ALIVE!!!

foxes

Picture
WARNING DO NOT TRY TO FIGHT A FOX...EVER!!! THEY ARE VERY STRONG AND THEY PACK ONE HECK OF A BITE!!!

Eagle

Picture
IF YOU SEE AN EAGLE, THE BEST THING TO DO IS HIDE, OR RUN!!! DO NOT PLAY DEAD, WHATEVER YOU DO, BECAUSE THEY EAT MAINLY DEAD THINGS AND APPRENTICES/KITS!!! PROTECT YOUR APPRENTICE IF YOU HAVE ONE WITH YOU!!! (As for kits, they shouldn't be out in the open anyway.)

Deathberries

Picture
THESE ARE DEADLY TO ANY CAT WHO EATS THEM!!! ONLY VERY STRONG AND HEALTHY WARRIORS CAN SURVIVE EATING THESE, SO DO NOT GO NEAR THEM!!! IF YOU EVEN STEP IN THEM AND THEN ABSENTMINDEDLY LICK YOUR PAWS, YOU WILL MOST LIKELY DIE OR GET VERY SICK, SO STAY AWAY!!!

PREY

mouse

Picture
these may be the easiest prey to catch. They are more helpless than a bird in a fox-hole!

rabbit

Picture
These are FAST! but keep them away from their burrows and you'll be fine, but once again, they are FAST. (Mainly windclan or like clans prey on these, but quick cats can catch them occasionally.)

vole

Picture
voles look like mice, but are plumper and smarter. they don't stray far from their burrows, so if you can, scare it into a clanmate's paws instead of trying to catch it yourself.

squirrel

Picture
squirrels are easily distracted! If you see a squirrel eating a nut, jump for it! They won't even see you coming.

thrush

Picture
if you see any kind of bird, try and be as invisible as possible! All birds have a simple escape plan...flying. They aren't the best prey to train a new apprentice with...

finch

Picture
these are the same as thrushes, but fatter, and faster...(not to mention yummier! -comment made by kits)
